Certainly stylistically, although Dwarves seem to like working with their hands. :)

Re: Favorite artists - contribute!

My great-uncle (my mother's mother's brother) was a colleague of Jackson Pollock). He was a lovely man but his art left me mostly unmoved. Seymour Boardman How fascinating!! Doing a search for Seymour's work.. there are a few pieces I like. Not that I'd hang them in my home, but I can still appreci...

Re: Games, Riddles, Puzzles, and other Distractions

There were so many variants possible today I had 2 words to try (for a total of I believe 6 possible words) ready to try to narrow it down. Fortunately for me, I choose the better of the two, first.

Re: Favorite artists - contribute!

Jackson Pollock (et al) would be considered abstract expressionism. Works such as his are supposed to set a emotion/mood without being subject to a particular well, subject. Sort of like looking at clouds (in an artistic way).. it is what it is to you, the viewer, that matters. Some may choose to ge...

Re: Favorite artists - contribute!

It is impressive. It's not abstract art as it was well planned & executed and depicts objects/a scene in a representative way. Quite nice never the less.

Nice Inanna! Fun V!

It's 10:20PM and I haven't played my games yet today. We spent the day working in daughter's yard. Grueling work, oi. We shall see if my very tired & stiff self will finish them as I try to fall asleep...

Yeah, that's definitely not a vegan restaurant. Vegan isn't big here so the options are few. Not surprising it is a campus restaurant. It really doesn't have any special 'vegan' items that I that I haven't seen on the menu of any other breakfast/lunch restaurant except maybe the chia pudding. I woul...

I saw that piece by Kanefield. She (and a lot of other pundits) are missing a subtlety in New York law. * I'll explain what I mean by that when I have more time. *bolding mine I have been thinking about this, as I've never served on a jury. Who explains the minutiae of the law or other various thin...

Re: War between Hamas and Israel

I don't know enough about this subject to discuss at length, but I would imagine genocide is not determined by sheer numbers alone. I would think the percentage of the population would be more descriptive. In WWII, by number, more Jewish people were killed than Roma peoples, but by percentage, becau...

We were biking on one of the bike paths in Waukesha county. We didn't realize that there was a Trump rally there today. Loads of .. erm. * cough * supporters. The area is very wealthy. Huge homes. Because our economy is so bad. They sure don't look like they are hurting. At all. *sigh*

Oh, I'm sorry. Yes, we are fine. I didn't realize that was not a familiar term (in less 'red' parts of the county). Here's the Wikipedia definition. We were at a stop light perpendicular to the truck so the people behind him got most of it. It was also much thicker and darker than in this video beca...
