Here is a small taste of where we went on our little weekend getaway this past weekend - Point Reyes National Seashore in western Marin County, Northwest (yes I said Northwest) of San Francisco:

... filled with wrath and despair he mounted upon Rochallor his great horse and rode forth alone, and none might restrain him. He passed over Dor-nu-Fauglith like a wind amid the dust, and and all that beheld his onset fled in amaze, thinking that Oromë himself was come: for a great madness of rage...

If Man Created God ...

... then who created the universe? If God is simply a creation of mankind, a construct developed to help understand that which was not understood, then who created the universe? It had to come from somewhere, no? If it was an accident, who created the accident? There had to be some first principle, ...

Another new member of the Band of Heaven. Syd Barrett, one of the founding members of Pink Floyd, and their original creative leader, has died at the age of 60. Barret was an absolute genius, but like many creative geniuses he was plagued by mental problems and lasted only three years with the band....

Good news, so far as it goes. I would say, though, that in terms of the damage done to the country's international reputation, it is too little, too late. Still, better late then never. But until we have an administration that recognizes that major changes need to be made in our we approach the whol...

Wonderful summary, Ath! (But am I the only person who would have been more then happy with the "unedited" version?) [Fingolfin, “wise according to the measure of his knowledge”, counsels the Lords of the Noldor to assault Angband, trusting in their waxing strength and power that is now aug...

That is certainly an honest (and fair) opinion. Kim Jong is definitely a terrifyingly unstable leader (just as was Saddam Hussein) and his having his hand on a nuclear button is very scary. But I stand by my belief that the United States is very largely responsible for the predicament that the world...

Hmmmm, that does sound familiar. Now where have I seen that before?

;)

So, what do you think should be done now that North Korea has fired off this missile? Should we bomb their nuclear facilities and risk their threatened nuclear counter-attack?

You want to know what I think? Okay, you asked.

I think it is scary for any country to have intercontinental nuclear missiles. And the more the country has, the scarier I think that country is. Can you figure out which country I think is the scariest country in the world?

Well, you did ask. :P

Jn, only the southern orientation one is cut in half. I have taken the liberty of reducing the other two down to 600 pixels.

Ohh Ok thanks V :D. I was a bit confused and I was afraid I had gone back to incomprehensible babbling (I do that sometimes - at least that's what people tell me) Really I was planning to wait until you reached it on your thread but as you would now when you're young you're pretty impatient ...
