The eyes? Just sunglasses. There was a bright sun, despite all the shadow.

My pictures are drawn on a Macintosh using a pressure-sensitive Wacom tablet. I use several programs for each, and I use roughly twenty graphics programs in all. Some are huge and expensive; others are tiny and (almost) free, intended for use with an iPad, which I also use. A few of them are hardly more than toys.

I have no single process or technique. I consciously avoid one because (especially with digital art) it is easy to slip into predictable gimmicks. I work in a wide variety of styles precisely to avoid that, and I actually try to forget how a certain thing was done because I don't want to do it the same way twice.

Candidate? Is that woman running for office?

Given the current climate, she'd do better to stay in the woods.

I think this is my favorite.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

The dumbest thing I've ever bought
was a 2020 planner.

"Does anyone ever think about Denethor, the guy driven to madness by staying up late into the night alone in the dark staring at a flickering device he believed revealed unvarnished truth about the outside word, but which in fact showed mostly manipulated media created by a hostile power committed to portraying nothing but bad news framed in the worst possible way in order to sap hope, courage, and the will to go on? Seems like he's someone we should think about." - Dave_LF

Is this the way you talk to poor tormented geniuses?

No problem. I'm used to it by now.
