Hilarious!

I clicked on the Jon Stewart one, too. MAN, I wish he would come back. Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you . . . woo woo woo. . . .
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

That was funny! I don't know who those two people are, so I had to look them up. Very cute!

It was a toss up whether to put this here or on the cute animals thread. :)

It's already in the cute animals thread : D I think I posted a coiple of peacock spider vids a year or more ago, including that one.

Aren't they cute? I never imagined I'd say that about anything with eight legs.

This is over 20 years old, but I never seen or heard it before, nor knew that it existed. Clapton and Pavarotti! Holy Mother!

I have a vague recollection of seeing this when it aired, but certainly never since. Thanks for posting it!

I figured you would appreciate it.

I'm curious as to what Jude would think.

I adore this. From the new musical Dear Evan Hansen.

There's a group a couple towns over that brings a few travelling Broadway shows to the area every year. This one is on their list of possibilities for 2018--it was my #1 choice when they asked for public input.

Wasn't quite sure where to post this, but this thread does seem to get a lot of traffic! For trebuchet lovers everywhere, and anyone who's ever had to assemble Ikea furniture!
When the night has been too lonely, and the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows,
Lies the seed, that with the sun's love, in the spring becomes The Rose.

I underestimated how funny that was going to be.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Powerful anti-suicide song from Limerick band The Rubberbandits. The Rubberbandits are a comedy and musical duo who use the persona of Limerick scumbags with plastic bags over their faces to tackle serious issues through comedy and song. This one is pretty powerful, but has NSFW lyrics and may be a trigger for some.
