That channels Prince beautifully but also brings enough originality to make it her own. Well done.

I love The Killers and Brandon Flowers. Good song. I've not heard it before. Timely, for me, as I've been doing my family tree & found lots of very old family photos. (I wish I could recall how to post a photo!) :P

Migrants (especially those who came/come in waves who are more in need of a hand up) are rarely embraced in spite of Lady Liberties illuminated welcome in our harbor. Those seeking refuge at the border are no different than those who queued up at Ellis Island hoping for a chance at a better life.

“No Irish Need Apply.”
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

How soon we forget!

A nearby town has an area that was originally called 'Paddy Town' and I'm sure it wasn't meant as a compliment!

Interesting how each wave of immigrants is treated badly/looked down on by the previous wave! :(

Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows,
Lies the seed, that with the sun's love, in the spring becomes The Rose.

I suspect that many have seen this, but I thought it was worth posting here.

Gosh, no you tube thread?

That was really well done. I suspect a high-school theater/show choir background, at least, for both of those men.

And it was cuuuuuute.

Everybody stay safe! :grouphug:

No, you are perfectly dignified, Voronwë. You can't help that cute things are attracted to you by some mystic process. We do appreciate your willingness to share.

Oh, I don't mind being cute. It beats the alternative!

What's the alternative?
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Massively shitty news today about Keith Flint of The Prodigy. Their origin was well before my time but they were/are a standout in my journey to learn and listen to more (and more kinds of) electronic music. RIP.
