New Open Forum

Post by Voronwë the Faithful »

Friends, you may have noticed that a new forum has appeared at the bottom of the Tolkien Discussion forums. This is a unique forum at The Hall of Fire, because it is an open forum, available for posting to both registered members, and unregistered guests (who can either enter a user name when they post, or just post as "Guest". The purpose is to provide a venue to comment about my book, Arda Reconstructed; to provide reviews, errata, comments about the tables, the illustrations, or any other commentary folks wish to provide. It will likely be a while before the book is actually available to most people, but I thought I would go ahead and open the forum now, to give the few people that have gotten a copy a chance to comment if they wish in the coming days and weeks.

Voronwë, good luck with the new forum. This has been tried at The Outer Banks, but unfortunately the forum drowned in bots and spam. I hope this one meets better fate.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Thanks, Frelga. We recognize that might be a big problem. We'll see what happens! It could be that no one shows up here to talk about it anyway, although there is a link on the arda-reconstructed.com webpage.

Links attract spam like candles attract moths. Verminous, disease-ridden moths.

Ax, you and Prim and Teremia and vison and some of our other creative writers should collaborate on tale of woe featuring these verminous, disease-ridden spam-moths. :x
