There is a lot of weirdness that happens if you're logged on to both boards, Rebecca, although it mostly seems to have to do with thread updates. I think phpBBer doesn't sort things well.

I'm logged into both all the time, get PM notifications on both, and that much does work.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Yes, I keep both windows open but log out on the one board before posting on the other.

You know how the computer remembers your topic titles and the subject titles of your PM's and fills them in for you after the first couple letters? - well, I've noticed that phpbb will fill in here titles that I've used on B77, which is beyond weird. It's like ... we KNOW you're there .... <creepy>

We need a "creepy" emoticon.

I am so glad to be here! This is just what I needed after this past week...

(I won't go into details now, but expect a report soon...so much craziness in the world!)

Jewel, psst!

There's a typo in your signature, I think. The 'now' should be a 'nor' shouldn't it?

Welcome fisshy!

Welcome Snowdog!

Welcome Jewel!

Welcome wilko!

Welcome nl!

I'm so happy all of you could be here. If you go into the parlour, never mind Reginald, our resident ghost. He's just looking for some Shiraz.

I agree. I was just musing on how pleasant the consistently Tolkien theme was :).
I'm so happy to hear that, Angel and Watcher. We had great fun coming up with some of the names. Particularly me. :)

Hallo, all!

Lovely to see everyone. :)
And it is said by the Eldar that in the water there lives yet the echo of the Music of the Ainur more than in any substance else that is in this Earth; and many of the Children of Ilúvatar hearken still unsated to the voices of the sea, and yet know not what for what they listen.

Thank you.

She is Quan Yin, Bodhisattva of Compassion.

I'll start a thread about her in Tol Eressëa after things settle down here a bit.

Hi Hobby! :)

I wish I had drawn my sig! It's one of my favourite pieces of Tolkien art, and definitely my favourite of that scene. It's by Catherine Karina Chmiel.

Oooh, thanks for the link, Maiden!

(Quite a different Faramir from the one in the pic of Faramir and Denethor! ;) )

Really lovely! :)
