No, he's already dead. The dying in the sentence is hypothetical.

As Eldo noted above, the words "Those that" do appear in the original.

Just out of curiosity, can someone run the following quote through the translator? I want to see if you get the same weirdness that I get:
Doubtless we shall be hidden from all unfriendly eyes when the snow has covered us, but that will not help us.
That was my first choice, but the result was so unrelated, it would have been unguessable.

I'd really like to know what sort of algorithm was used to translate the original quote to that.

Why does it suddenly go from a long phrase in both English and Japanese to just "Us." in the second English translation? That doesn't make any sense. But I did it several times and it does so every time.
