John Oliver did a piece on the recent policies in India. I had zero knowledge about any of this outside of what Inanna has posted here, so I was curious to hear what she thought of it. It's 20 minutes but if you find the time, I'd love to hear your perspective:

The forest, in case this isn't clear from the article, is what "mopped up" the radiation. The fear of what would happen if the forest caught fire was long present, the answer being mostly "we'll all be in trouble".

I had seen headlines regarding the fires but hadn't read much given everything else going on in the world. I wonder if Trump is admonishing Putin as to why he didn't have people raking/cleaning up the forest so as to prevent this.
