There are some that I would gladly hang on my wall. Everyone would ask who was the fantastic painter I'd discovered.
Earth does the images, but a really artful eye and hand did the framing. Not necessarily Cmdr. Kelly's, but I'm grateful to him for curating these for us all.

We've had a lot of high surf recently, due to El Niño. I stopped on my bike ride today to take some pictures.

Berry Creek Falls is one of my favorite places in the area, well-rewarding the 11 mile round trip hike.

Not professional or anything, but I like the way my street looks this time of year.
Someone planted those trees 60 years ago so the neighborhood would look like this someday, and most likely never got to see it.
I expect it will look pretty nice in the autumn, too (this is my first year here).

The trees are lovely. Most street trees are terribly stunted by placing them in a 3 foot wide planter strip, so it's nice to see some that are given room to stretch.

Silver maples. Which are out of fashion for various reasons (some better than others), but at least look nice.

They do look nice and grow fast. I know they invade tiles and drains, but bleah. These ones are very low-branching, though. I wonder if someone trained them that way. ??

Supposedly that's just what they do if they have space. It's one of the reasons some don't like them.

Hmmm. Ours have always branched higher, and they weren't cramped for space (at least by the time I saw them). Interesting. Maybe it's a perspective thing in your picture. They don't branch very high off the ground; I'd say about 6 or 7 feet.
