I loved all my visits to NYC - probably add up to about 6 weeks altogether but across 10 years - and having friends in the city really iced the cake for me.

But I don't think there's a city I've visited that I haven't enjoyed except maybe Trenton. That city was doing it tough when I visited 10 years ago.

Loved San Francisco. Boston is also fun. Los Angeles was interesting to visit. I absolutely loved Norwich - and everywhere we visited in Vermont and New Hampshire.

One of the things I love about being in the greater NY area is the friends I get to meet! :).

Imp, Trenton is not really a city. No one thinks of it as a city.... it’s... I don’t know...
something to avoid?

Today’s ride:

Oh! Lovely photos Inanna! The first and 3rd ones are especially stunning!

Since our trip to New York, we've traveled to many cities/metropolitan areas. Some of my favorites would be Edinburgh- Scotland, San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, Tucson, Washington, D.C., Vancouver- BC, Wellington, & Queenstown- NZ. Chicago can be fun. Hubby & daughter liked Niagara falls, ON- Canada. We didn't really enjoy Auckland, NZ but the rest of the country is wonderful. Honolulu is nice, but it's nice for the reasons Hawaii is nice.. the beaches, the weather food, etc.. not so much because of the city itself. We have also traveled to many small cities or resort areas that we have enjoyed and they are wonderful too. Our hotel was broken into in San Diego and we were robbed so that kinda put a damper on that trip. I'm really missing traveling due to Covid. I've been doing a lot of reminiscing.

My son saw a coyote on his run today. They both decided that the opposite direction from each other was where they wanted to go.

I've been giving him a hard time since, asking if he made a meep-meep noise and if the coyote had a stick of dynamite labeled Acme.

I've only seen a coyote from a distance, lazing by a pond.

We see the occasional fox around our neighbourhood - which is bad, as they're terrible for our native wildlife - but they're so dang gorgeous that I always get a thrill anyway.

Oh! Foxes are gorgeous. They can make some wild sounds. Coyotes can be pretty dangerous. I'm glad they both chose 'not today'.

I've encountered coyote packs at a distance quite a few times on early morning/evening nature walks. Every single time, I thought I was coming up on a gang of rowdy teenagers right until the moment I spotted them. I guess what I'm saying is, foxes make the more interesting noises.

Yes, this is the time of year when I see little fawns a lot. Mama deer bring them to teach them about crossing the street safely.

Why did the Mama Deer cross the road?

 It seems people in town see more deer than we do! They are pretty shy/skittish here.

It's more unusual for me not to see a deer if I go for a walk around sunset.

In over 30 years of living in this area, I have never seen anything remotely like last night. It thundered and lightening for a good 5-6 hours, and rained for about ten minutes. Here is a picture that one of my neighbors took.
