Goodness! I can't keep up with everybody. Quite a crowd assembling here, and a very fine crowd at that.

Everybody be sure to visit the parlour (British spelling is essential) to relax and enjoy refreshments.

Whistler, that's worth quitting as a founder and joining as a new member!

I'd say we opened the board to a very interesting group of people and I'm looking forward to existing threads getting longer and new threads getting started.

Welcome to tinwë and Lacemaker!

I hope you guys weren't standing out in the snow too long. I got caught up in a long post and didn't see the new names on the registration list.

Hot toddy, I think, at this hour and in this weather!

Waves to all, sips toddy appreciatively, admires Jnyusa's black hollyhock. Yes, looks like a good place. I will be back, time now for me to get my beauty sleep. See you soon.

Welcome tinwë, and duffster! Great to see you!

Lacemaker, great to see you here, too. Get some rest, and we'll see you soon.

And Padme and bornilon!

bornilon, I know you from TORC and B77 and you are most welcome here! Padme, I don't think we've ever posted together before, but new friends are well met.

May I invite my dear friend Scirocco?

He was the mainstay of both VTSG and Books - erudite, intelligent, giving, civil.

His participation on TORC has basically come to a halt as the discussion became less engaging. I think he would have a fine time here!

I guess I could just let him know, eh?

I have done so. :)

And I've also received the gift basket (thank you) and wish to complain about the lack of absinthe therein. I had high hopes I would get to try it at last! Feel quite deflated. Have eaten all the chocolate though - and it was very good!

Imp, I'd have written to him myself right yesterday if I hadn't been so tired! :D

Welcome to all the new members, sorry if some of you had to wait a bit to get your posting permissions, all the Shirriffy types were asleep or at work! :D
but being a cheerful hobbit he had not needed hope, as long as despair could be postponed.

Good afternoon everyone. I popped my head in out of curiosity and it seems rude not to announce myself properly. I will have a look around if I may.

*does happy dance*

I can post! I can post!

*weepz with gratitude*

*clears throat*

The name's Pearl. Pearl Took. Eldest sister to Pippin. Of an eligible age to marry Frodo Baggins. Also killed my great aunt, but we don't talk about that.

In another AU, you all know me as Pippin's wife. :)

Good to be here, folkses. :gladhug:

When I get my act together, I'll go and raid my favourite Frodo icons for an avatar. Whooo!

Pearl (aka Diamond, of course!)

You will find it in the parlour, next to the furniture polish. Drink either one.

Where's my gift basket? :( I've been waiting at the door for at least 30 minutes! I can send directions if needed...

In other words, Hi. Such a wonderful group of folks here.

Well, I'll just grab another gift basket from the larder [cough] Whistler's post [cough] and invite everyone to make themselves at home. Food and drink and casual conversation can be found in the Parlour at Bag End.
