Welcome to jeanelf!!

tinwë - that's awful about your car! But you speak of it as something unexpected. ;)

I live in Philadelphia and have had three cars stolen. Last time we got to it just before the police had stripped it for a kickback from the chop shop.

We have an interesting system here ... it allows us to pay the police less than they are worth in salaries funded by the taxpayer since they are recompensed by the chop shops, but it has an unfortunate sideways impact on our insurance premiums.

Jeanelf, a great big  and welcome to you.

tinwë, what can I say? That is horrible. If you come to the Parlour, I'm sure that we can hook you up with some absinthe, or maybe some nice hot apple cider with a generous dose of the fine Venenzuelan rum?

Oh .... I've missed so many people. :(

tinwë ... my dear, adopted younger twin ... We must set up a donut and trebuchet corner for you in the parlour.

PEARL! (Diamond) Maybe I'll just resort to calling you was-translucent-is-now-opaque :D So glad you are here.

Tosh ... Jeanelf ... :) :) :)

It's wonderful to see you all.

Hi tinwë, jeanelf, QueenB!

QueenB, I haven't seen you in ages! How have you been? And where?

Yikes, what is it with that absinthe stuff?

Tinwë got his car back!

Not too damaged, and the golf clubs still in the trunk.

Hello to EVERYONE I have been horribly remiss in greeting, but I've been away from my computer a bit. I am so glad to see you, especially those I haven't seen for a long time and those I don't yet know.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”
