IMPORTANT NOTICE:

We have discontinued our distribution of the gift baskets due to the expense involved. From this point forward, all new members will instead be welcomed with the charming souvenir potholder pictured below. Thank you.

Hobby, I had no idea you could draw so well!

Oh, I see Breogan registered. There's someone I've always hoped to get to know better.

Whistler ...

Our newest member is Breogan and that is the perfect gift for her because her hand touched Viggo Mortensen! Got to protect the holy fingers!

Welcome Breogan!

Whistler, I never received my gift basket. With whom do I file my formal complaint? :D

All complaints go to Voronwë, never to me!

And welcome, tp. Allow me to not buy you dinner, as a token of my deep respect.

I have to warn you that the bottles are all empty. We polished them off last night and put the corks back in to make the picture look pretty. :P

Complain to Voronwë. I can do that. I'm good at that. :P I intend to file this complaint jointly with Jn, who has robbed me of my whine. :(

Whistler, I gratefully accept your offer not to buy me dinner, in the spirit of courtesy and hospitality with which I know it was extended. However, if you could buy me several bottles of wine to compensate for Jn's...indiscrete consumption of the same, I would be most appreciative.

Frelga, thanks! :) I can only draw from pictures, i.e. something that is already two dimensional - transforming three-dimensional to two-dimensional is still a good deal harder, I find. Let alone draw from the imagination!
And even drawing from pictures doesn't always turn out well - but if it does, I just love it, I love the way you begin seeing a three-dimensional shape from what is really just a bunch of shades - I'm quite a swooner for pencil drawings!

And I'm glad Bre joined, too! Welcome!

sidles up to the purist

Ah, you really should let me taste a few, just to make sure they're all right y'know . . . it would be a darn shame if you ended up with bad bottles, yep a cryin' shame . . . I'll just sample a few for ya, better safe than sorry . . . :D

mmmmmmm, well, this one's okay, but I think I ought to check out the Merlot's too, and the Chianti's, you can never be too sure about them, and maybe a Beaujolais as well, can't be too careful you know . . . ;)

What IS it with everyone drinking my wine?

You were all given your own baskets! Every last one of you, except perhaps Jn, and that is because she is the hostess responsible for doing the welcoming. Instead, she drinks my wine, and when Whistler - how to put this? - compensates me for this theft with interest - Scribble and she come back to finish THAT off too?

*gives up*

Very well, you can join me in my wine cellar (and Ath, you are of course most welcome). I ask only that you leave the following types of wine for me: pinot grigio, riesling, semillon, sauvignon blanc, and white zinfandel.

Thanks for the welcome fit for a queen, Whistler. *flourishes cork opener*
