Regarding yesterday's 'Dumpling's' strands, it helped to love to cook (and eat!) Much easier for me than sports terms.

Jude, I'd suggest using a Wordle Helper, especially for those of you who do not use US English. It's certainly not fool proof, but it has most of the words and the spellings that are used.

Thanks Alatar for the warning! I had two guesses left and three letters that would have worked as a first letter. So I sacrificed my fifth guess to do a word that contained those three letters.

The second word that I put in there was "froom." To the best that I am able to determine, that is not really a word, only a proper name. Does anyone have any opinion about that?

I'm surprised it accepted that. I've tried using 'words' that it hasn't accepted'. I could not find 'froom' in the Scrabble dictionary I generally use for games.

Hidden text.
Yeah, its the first time I've seen it accept a word that I couldn't find any definition, however remote, that wasn't a proper name. I think it was an error.

I'd never heard of that word either. Which means I need to use it in my upcoming best-selling novel.

Does anyone here play SpellsBee? There has always been a pangram (a word using all of the letters given) but I could not think of one for today's letters. C O L T I A X (required center letter X). Maybe it's some type of Twitter (X) joke. :suspicious:

Toxical?

I'd say "toxic" instead of "toxical", but the free dictionary says it's legit.

Yes, I tried that word but the game doesn't accept it. I checked my dictionary and it's in there. Weird.
