See, I'm a student. I've been a student since I was 3 (I'm 26 now). I live on the academic calendar, so I look at fall as the beginning of the year, and make my New Year's Resolutions on the first day of class. Except I don't go to class anymore, so sometimes I screw up and make my resolutions late or early. I also procrastinate. Hence my arrival here one month into the school year...

Actually, it's hard to miss the first day of class. The campus becomes a veritable sea of undergrads, and they get younger every year. The chem building also gets overrun with fresh new grad students, who may or may not be younger than me but are easily identified by the shell-shocked look in their eyes. Especially after their first week of teaching. =:)

Thanks for the greetings folks! It's nice to finally show up. ;)

Multiple welcomes to Lily Rose, Gwydion, and River!

:horse: :horse: :horse:

Sorry that I was not here to greet you at the front door! Voronwë is off on vacation for a few days as well (travel vacation in RL that is), but the key to the wine cellar is in the grandfather clock, or else nel has it tucked into her brassier. =:)

We are sort of wine and cheese folks around here, I guess, but we never run out of Danish beer or Philadelphia soft pretzels smeared with Philadelphia cream cheese.

The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Hello, Aleolus! What kind of swords do you like? I'm no expert, but I certainly enjoy chatting about sharp metal.
If there was anything that depressed him more than his own cynicism, it was that quite often it still wasn't as cynical as real life.

Welcome to NETolkienSociety. Can I presume that you are my friend(s) from Heren Istarion? I'm very pleased to see you here.

Hello, Ancalime! Apologies for this delayed welcome. RL is to blame. Hope you have a good time here!
