Why is TTT the least liked movie?

And, you definitely picked the moments in TTT that I think are high points, too. I need to watch these again.
I have to admit I love Osgiliath a lot, as well. From purely cinematic perspective. Very powerful scene, and it works within the movie.
Oh, and Arwen's vision of Aragorn's death! It's in TTT, right?
And the opening of the Black Gates! Lots of goodies.
Hee, and the critics at RT seem to agree on TTT merits.
One friend of mine, who read LotR many years ago but is not a devotee, said that she preferred TTT out of all of the films.
She liked the battle scenes. A lot.
She said there was too much crying in RotK.
I did find that funny.
