I know she's probably in good hands but I want to scold my Mother. I've been telling her for months to get her mamogram (I am spelling the right, right?) since she was years over due . And now they find something.
I guess when it rains it pours. I'll try not to get too worked up since the docs seem to think it's nothing.

You have every right to feel upset, but I think it is wise to try to trust the doctors on this. (Another option is to get a second opinion.) I suspect the doctors are right, and there's nothing to fear. They've seen a lot of these cases, and there's no benefit for them in ignoring malignancy.
Imposed waits are awful, though.
You'll both be in my prayers.

Sorry to hear your projects went wrong, hal (if that's what you're referring to).
But that doesn't mean your choices were wrong, or you don't know anything - you're trying to find your own way, and that can't be wrong, IMO.

I'd like to step in here to ask for prayes for my friend Connie - some of you may remember her as ConnieMarie from Frodo's Kitchen on TORC.
Her son Jerry is having problems with his heart, possibly related to his medication (Jerry is autistic with other issues) Anyway, they are going to get some tests at the local hospital and then have an appointment at Johns Hopkins later this month. Connie is a wreck...please pray for her and for Jerry's health.

The Business had a really good day on Sunday. Made our first sales ever, and it felt pretty good. Also, in a surprise, construction started on our concrete box yesterday (FINALLY!), and we weren't expecting anythign to happen until next week.
So, things have been good on the business front.
Could use some prayers for everyone involved, though, as life seems to be throwing us curveballs right when it seems inconvenient

halplm,
what sort of business have you started?
I only ask because if it is something members of the board might buy at some time, they could buy from you as opposed to elsewhere. I know I prefer to support local business or friends as opposed to big chain strores when I go shopping.
forgive a TIGG's ignorance for not knowing already???
and congratulations on your first sale

Congrats, Hal! And of course you'll be in my thoughts.
Do you have a Web site for your business yet?

“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Well, after informing everyone closely involved, I felt the need to come share here what seems to me at least as a miracle
. Last week was pretty chaotic. We were stressing out trying to transfer funds around to cover checks, and waiting for checks to clear, and generally worrying about how we're going to make in through another 5 weeks at which point we will finally have our doors open.
Stress levels were high.
As a somewhat last resort... I called the bank basically begging for money in any form. We thought we could make it selling some stuff, and basically scraping the bottom of the financial barrel... but it was a bit of a concern. I've never gone to the bank asking for money when I needed it where they did anything but fight me for every penny. This time seemed no different... as every idea I had seemed to be "Impossible" according to our bank. The last thing said was them saying if we had no other options, we could always ask for personal credit.
I kind of laughed at this, since we've already borrowed all we thought possible ourselves... and figured they might give us a couple grand, which is nice and all, but doesn't really solve our problem.
The agent I talked to this week basically threw money at us! I was shocked every time she spoke. Granted, it's loans and credit, but it was for amounts I wouldn't have DREAMED of. And for interest rates far lower than I would have expected!
Basically, as long as we can sell a boatload of stuff through the holidays (where it's easiest), we'll be solidly on our feet and with no seriously troubling debts... Which, if you had asked me last week how that was going to happen... I would have told you I had no idea...
Thank you everyone for thoughts and prayers... not that we don't still need them
. I'm sure whatever trouble we've had now we'll have more of in the future... but it's a pretty good day today
