So that leaves Éowyn.

I can't remember, does Arwen say anything on page?

Or Ioreth.

"He is, as you see him"? or something to that effect? Sorry, no book handy.

That's the right quote! And you were very close: "He is, as you have seen him."

Incidentally, my first choice was her previous quote: "He is." But when I ran it through the translationparty, the meaning changed completely. I couldn't quite believe it, so I ran it twice and got the same result.

Anyone want to try running it through translationparty and reporting back what they got? I wonder if it's trying to mess with me personally.

Yeah, that's what I got!

Alatar, does the original have a reference to an actual tent?

Is it Gimli, speaking to Legolas, Merry and Pippin, speaking about the Last Debate of the Captains of the West?:

"Much I wonder what counsels they are taking in the tents there below."
"Spirits in the shape of hawks and eagles flew ever to and from his halls; and their eyes could see to the depths of the seas, and pierce the hidden caverns beneath the world."

The next quote is NOT: "He is evil." ;)

It is:

"No! I brought my own. Just enough to last me until lunch. Food is handed out in rotation."
"Spirits in the shape of hawks and eagles flew ever to and from his halls; and their eyes could see to the depths of the seas, and pierce the hidden caverns beneath the world."

Just for fun, I ran "He isn't." through the translationparty - it came up with "He is not that kind of person."
