I really, really like these, thanks for posting them Lalaith. :D

I've been looking at them for ages now but couldn't begin to pick a favourite, though I think the 'Klimty' ones may just have an edge...

I totally understand Tosh. On his own, and by any reasonable standards, Jeremy Clarkson is an abomination. But somehow...on Top Gear and only on Top Gear...he becomes funny and almost lovable.

Almost. ;)

Keep an eye out for the challenge match between the British and German Top Gear presenters - it's a classic episode and had us laughing out loud several times. Jeremy Clarkson and co are outrageously rude and terrible cheaters, but you just can't help rooting for them. The quote of the night was (an...

Oh yes, Jeremy Clarkson is a dreadful, dreadful man ;)....but Top Gear is absolute genius! :D

I have no interest in cars either Imp, but TG is so much fun and so irreverent and the presenters are so clearly having such a fabulous time that you can't help but pick up their enthusiasm. I love it. :D

Lord M, I don't think they've even started counting the votes for the London Mayoral election yet, they should start this morning though.

That was fabulous Tosh! I'm really not qualified to offer any sort of critique, but I certainly did enjoy it. :D

In fact, I think I may have to go and read the book again, you've given me such a taste for the story - besides I want to know what happens next! ;)

During the recent terrorist attack at Glasgow Airport a baggage handler, John Smeaton, and several others attacked one of the terrorists, kicking and punching him several times. That's what 'setting about' someone is basically. I was rather proud of my fellow Scots for running towards the trouble to...

Indeed. :D And in Scotland we'll "set aboot ye!", in the words of one rather famous baggage handler. ;)

The thread on TORC did contain contradictions of the story later on, with contributions from MrsSmeagol and Melth (both teachers), the whole thing was blown entirely out of proportion by the press and certain other groups. I'd need to read the thread again, but if I remember correctly this had happe...

But if he likes Sport, then maybe it really is his name? ;) I was looking for something Tolkieny to call Murphy when I brought him home from the cattery, but Murphy he became, all by himself...:D

I don't think that burk is a Scots or Gaelic word, so as far as I'm aware it's just a misspelt berk. :D

And the word is nowhere near as offensive as it's origins would make you think it should be. :D

I got one hit: You've just taken a direct hit! Earlier you said that it is justifiable to base one's beliefs about the external world on a firm, inner conviction, regardless of the external evidence, or lack of it, for the truth or falsity of this conviction. But now you do not accept that the rapis...
