Re: Trump Indicted by Manhattan District Attorney

To be fair, I haven't been particularly keeping up with the trial other than what I've been reading here and I'd heard about Trump's sleepiness and odor issues and I had no idea/was wondering what was being referred to although it is a little TMI. The fact that he apparently fell asleep in court la...

Re: Games, Riddles, Puzzles, and other Distractions

Either I'm having a really horrible game day or there is something wrong with the Waffle puzzle today.

Edited:
I made it with 4 to spare, but FYI, there were issues with the yellow tiles on today's puzzle.

My library consortium has a 26 week waiting list for 'The Priory of the Orange Tree'. I just might order for my kindle.

Re: The (no longer) much too early 2024 election thread

That sounds like a mafia shakedown. Is that normal for a political campaign? And what does JFC mean? In this context. LOL!! JFC... :rotfl: OMG.. hilarious. It means Joint Fundraising Committee, but all of the money goes to Trump. And no, NONE of that is normal. Usually funds raised by the Republica...

Re: US Supreme Court Discussions

I'll post George Will's column. The phrase “often in error but never in doubt” could have been coined for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. The appellate court most frequently reversed by the Supreme Court in recent years should brace itself for another reprimand during Monday’s oral ar...

Re: Daily Dracula

Prior to last year I had presumed I'd read it at some point, but now I'm certain I had not. I was surprised how much of the story I was unaware of considering Dracula stories/folklore were a part of my youth. 'Creature Feature' Friday night movies were staples of sleepovers.
