Re: What are you reading?

Thank you Maria - added to my list. (LOL! I need an elven lifetime to get through it all.)

Jude, Simon Coldheart is prob the worst Heyer book I've read. It's not often I say this but - give it up! Life's too short for that kind of sacrifice!

Inanna, holding hands in sisterhood.

Re: The Kindle Books and Resources List

I investigated libro.fm on your mention, downloaded the app and signed up, but have not yet paid membership because it still seems pricey to me. I'll probably do it because 1. Won't support Bezos/audible 2. It's a social enterprise that supports local bookshops 3. Huge listing 4. Doing more listenin...

Both my kids are fans of the game, and both have watched the movie and loved it. I have yet to do so but will.

(Kids! Ha! They are adults of 31 and 27)

Maggies are very intelligent. They are my favourite birds because they establish bonds with humans so easily - and, of course they have the most glorious warble.

The last couple of years a magpie couple come around regularly for snacks and now bring their fledgling with them.

Slow Horses

Gary Oldman is just superb.

And the trailer doesn't do justice to the series. We're half way through seaon 2 now.

The quality of the readers is indeed patchy but the good ones are excellent! I suggest you 'taste-test' before downloading.

And now, I'm also trotting off to my kindle to see to the new Murderbot book!

Actually a fabulous photo in the Fasilides castle taken by a friend during travels in Gonder (correct spelling) Ethiopia. The tree roots grow into the former pool.

I read Nettle and Bone and agree it's fluffy and fun.
Haven't read the others.

I've been reading crime lately and have discovered Elizabeth George's Inspector Lynley series. A great find!
