Empire Magazine March 2009 Hobbit Cover Story Ok, well first off, there's no new news...but that doesn't mean it's not worth getting your hands on a copy. It's great to have all the gossip we've heard so far brought together in one neat bundle. Plus, the article is beautifully presented, with Alan ...

Obviously, some women do have stronger maternal instincts than others, and it's quite possible that the women who commit these murders failed to bond with their child. It's far more common than one imagines. :(

Thanks, sf. Out of that lot I would want to see Fellowship of the Ring Additional footage from the Battle of the Last Alliance in The Fellowship of the Ring prologue. Dialogue from the Council of Elrond, such as Gandalf explaining how Sauron forged the One Ring. An attack by Orcs from Moria on Lothl...

"Dawn Treader" is considered to be a more family film-friendly book, and the goal is to get back to the magical aspects present in the first "Narnia" pic but mostly absent from "Prince Caspian." Definitely good news - I know PC was more 'grown-up' but I missed the magi...

A very disturbing story, Di. Of all violent crimes, those where a parent takes the lives of his or her children are the most baffling. Most parents would die to protect their child. So for a mother or father to look at their son or daughter, perhaps hear their cries, and see their uncomprehending fa...

I too find I get teared up over classical music more these days, as opposed to my teenage years, when I used to sob over Nilsen "Without you" and the like! Our church choir had us sing John Ireland's "Greater Love" one Remembrance Sunday and I just chocked before the end & co...
