Hey, guys. I just heard tonight that my grandma is doing very poorly. The home health nurse thinks she might have 2 days left, at most. Your prayers and thoughts are appreciated.

As will I.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

And I. (I could swear that I posted in this thread last night, but there doesn't seem to be any record of it. Maybe I hit "Preview" rather than "Submit" and didn't notice it.)

"What do you fear, lady?" Aragorn asked.

Hey friends-
I know that I haven't been here in a while (ah the crazy life of a grad student) but I just wanted to put in a prayer request for my dad. He's undergoing a new experimental treatment for his cancer (specifically a very unpleasant and stubborn growth) and he's going to be having a test on Wednesday to see if it's been working. We're pretty hopeful about it but I feel like any extra prayer could only be a good thing.
Thanks so much.
Home is behind, the world ahead
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadow til the edge of night
Until the stars are all alight
Mist and shadow, cloud and shade
All shall fade, all shall fade

Lali, I am sorry, I missed your post when your grandmother passed away. Please accept my condolences to you and your family.
