The Liberator - WW2 Animated Mini-Series

Post by Snowdog »

I found this Netflix gem to be quite interesting to watch. I kept picking up nods to other war movies and TV shows. The first episode played heavy off The Dirty Dozen. It's a bit choppy but if you take each episode as a focused block loosely tied to the others around it with a few strings, it's a pretty good depiction of Alex Kershaw's book of the same name. Unlike live-action movies, the animation allows them to get things depicted right, like a German Tiger tank for example. It's worth a watch if you're into American world war 2 shows.
