"Spirits in the shape of hawks and eagles flew ever to and from his halls; and their eyes could see to the depths of the seas, and pierce the hidden caverns beneath the world."
My third word was "noust." Has anyone ever heard of that word? Apparently, it is Scottish for "The place in which a boat is hauled up." But is it really an English word?
"Spirits in the shape of hawks and eagles flew ever to and from his halls; and their eyes could see to the depths of the seas, and pierce the hidden caverns beneath the world."

Sadly, I didn't solve Waffle today.
Did you have trouble with the words or placement? The words were tricky today and one of the words I was not familiar with but figured it out through process of elimination.
