Tiffany Aching books are 3.99 for a set of four on Kindle.

He’d take the whining resentful ones, the ones with a bellyful of spite and bile, the ones who knew they could make it big if only they’d been given the chance. Bought! Thank you.
I just realized I broke my shopping embargo for 2025. But I had never intended books to be part of that, so it’s okay!

Re: The Kindle Books and Resources List
Inanna, did you recently read an article about cutting back on buying? I'm wondering if we read the same article. I'm thinking about it. It may be a hard year for me to do that with the wedding trip to Italy...
I wouldn't include books in my shopping embargo either, especially kindle books. I do like to make use of our wonderful local library.
I was thinking of an old Torc friend today. I'm not sure what made me think of her: Tygs (there are two of them, both live in New Zealand but one I think is Tiggs, the other is Tygarya). I was thinking of the latter. She had, I think 2 boys and was struggling with cancer quite a few years ago and didn't think she'd make it. I looked her up today to see what became of her and it appears she's authored some books (3 of them)?? She must have made it through her cancer. This appears to be the first of 3 in a series. On Amazon/Kindle. The Slave: Thawing the Cold Master's Heart Book 1.
It looks like it might be a bit steamy/Dark Fantasy romance type stuff. Not my usual genre, but I might give it a try.
Other books: Destiny Finds You: Tygarya Saga Book One and Loyalty Binds You; Tygarya Saga Book 2

Rose, No, I do this often. Although the last time I successfully did it for a whole year was pre-pandemic. After that, it’s been like a veritable changing-situation in my life (or so it seems) that I haven’t really done it for the full year. Six months at the mossst.
But this year, I will. There’s nothing I need. I have sneakers, snow boots, nice office boots, sandals etc. And nice jewelry & clothes to wear to work - both at Baruch & for my consulting gig. Also better winter jackets with the move to the city. So, yes - it’s time to halt it for 2025. If not longer.
And fascinating about the torc author! I keep thinking of writing fiction but don’t. Ah well, I have a non-fiction book chapter due in 4 weeks, so better get to that!

Inanna, what is the subject of your book?
Mornings wouldn't suck so badly if they came later in the day.
Re: The Kindle Books and Resources List
Hey Imp!! (Hug!)
The whole book is not mine, it’s the “Handbook of Interorganizational Relationships”, and I have one chapter in it: “Interorganizational Relationships in Healthcare”.

Does that include public health? That may be relevant to my work.

It should - I’m still writing the chapter (I need to step It up!). Any resources I could read about it in public health, Frelga?

Re: The Kindle Books and Resources List
Sorry, Inanna, I'm just a humble programmer. I'd be interested in reading up on the subject.
I can ask a coworker on Thursday, she put out a white paper, which is probably not at all what you need, but she is the one who keeps track of publications. Is there a specific topic that would be helpful?
Although anything we know about collaboration between federal and state public health is about to become obsolete.

Will certainly be relevant to my employer!

Re: The Kindle Books and Resources List
Has anyone tried libro.fm? Martha Wells recommended it on bluesky. You can get audiobooks and support your local physical bookstore, and it can be either a membership or you just buy the books. I'm not quite clear how that all works, but it looks like an alternative to Audible, if Libby doesn't have the books you want.
