Boo for my luck, I mean. I went out on a limb a bit guessing a double letter before I had to*, and I was right to do so! But it was the wrong homonym. :blackeye:

*Though it turns out this was the mathematically correct choice. There were exactly 4 words that fit the pattern I'd established after guess 2. If I'd chosen either of other two and it was wrong, I'd still have 3 possibilities to choose from. But with the guess I actually made, if it was half-wrong (and it was), only one option would remain.

I did too! It turns out that cromulent is a perfectly cromulent word here.

You've made a persuasive case against it in the past — that it results in scenarios where you win or lose based on blind luck rather than strategically winnowing down the available letters — but I sometimes go back and give it a try for a while. :P
