I don't think playing Wordle qualifies someone as a gamer, but otherwise they make some intersecting observations.

Did you lose a long streak as a result?

Re: Games, Riddles, Puzzles, and other Distractions
Yes.

But not as long as the first streak I had.
After my initial word, depending on the results, I determine how to proceed. Sometimes I use one of my 'regular' second words, especially if there are lots of options, especially regarding vowels. Other times, if the options are relatively few, I evaluate the possible words and either choose one of the possible answers that is a good 'winnowing' word or go with a (not possible answer) word that has the most in common with the possible choices. And yes, I sometimes count how many possibilities have a 'T' or 'L' (etc..) in them. When I do that, I wait until I have time to concentrate on it and yesterday I just forgot to get back to it.

That's a bummer. It is stupid that the streak disappears if you don't play that day. It should be like a hitting streak in baseball.

We'll be leaving on our trip soon and I'm thinking with the time difference I may miss one or two. Still, it's annoying.

At least your percentage is unaffected by missing days.
