So yes - I am a longtime Torcer. Friends of mine mentioned HOF to me and I decided to join up, test the waters. :)

In truth I read a few of the threads and was impressed by the civility and consideration I saw. Also, there are topics that interested me.

My avatar picture is my central RP character I write for over in Torc-land. :) She's a pip. I have several, actually. :D They keep me busy.

And as for yours - Voronwë - VanGogh's Starry Night, I believe? :D I've not seen that one, but have had the pleasure of seeing other works of his. I think Sunflowers at the MET was the most recent. :)

And Jnyusa - your image of Quan Yin is quite beautiful. This is my most favorite favorite image of the
Bodhisattva of Compassion

Most likely, as you're a devotee, you know it. :)

Indeed (or at least a portion thereof). I've long associated it with the quote from my namesake that I have in my sig text.

I have had the pleasure of seeing Starry Night, among a few others of Vincent's work. It is really amazing how the paintings seem to almost leap off the canvas. A truly amazing artist.

Bardhwyn, thank you for posting that amazing sculpture. No, I had not seen it before.

Sass spoke (some months ago) of a statue she had seen in a West Coast museum that seemed to breathe. This one looks as if it would walk out of the museum. And that smile! You can't help but feel how much love and devotion goes into such works of art.

LOL, no problem! I guess it is an illness, but I've designed around it.

I am often asleep during prime time TV but awake in the middle of the night, hoping that Tigg and the other down-unders will be online.
