Uh-oh. I need to come up with another clue.

Mount Rushmore's lips are sealed
(5,7)

Warning: the first word has two variable spellings. I have given the letter count for the preferred American spelling

Clue: it's not really a cryptic; the clue suggests a common expression

Everyone knows what Mt. Rushmore is, right? I keep forgetting how many of us are not native U.S.

Mt. Rushmore is a cliff face in South Dakota where the heads of four Presidents have been carved.

I think that must be it.

"Desert over-emoter" is a pun.

Still working on it vison. Sorry, been busy with some pathetic, idiotic, sanctimonious crap on another board.

Ta-ta! Stony silence it is.

Stony is sometimes spelled stoney, and I was afraid people would be confused by the five letter designation.

Ath, it's your turn.

Nice, Ath.

(Peter) Cook?

At least the way I cook - you could call that a stench. Unless it's my scrambled eggs - best on the planet. Full circle.

Jny, you are 99.9% there.

Remember that I referred to the bishop as "feeble".

feeble Princess Bride bishop's peculiar stench (4)

The Bishop spoke without pronouncing his R's, thus Reek would be Week, or for feeble "Weak"

Oh, for heaven's sake. What a ninnyhammer I am!!! Of course he did.

I sat here, going over the silly man's words in my mind, remembering the scenes, etc., and it all went over my head anyway.

Oh, well.

Oh, well.

*sigh*

I can see through a brick wall, given enough time. :(

"desert over-emoter"

Clue: Set the scene, guyz. :D
