Oh, that's scary, Eru - when will you know?
but being a cheerful hobbit he had not needed hope, as long as despair could be postponed.

You and your mom are in my prayers, too, Eru.

It's scary, but odds are it's something perfectly harmless.
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Prim is my rock.

As Prim says, Eru, it is comforting to know that almost all of these types of scares turn out to be nothing of importance. But just the faintest whiff of possible disaster is enough to stop us short, isn't it? My prayers are with you and your mom... fear and uncertainty are not fun things to carry around.

Katie, I am so glad you did so well on your trip!

Thank you, all. :)

truehobbit - I'm not sure, but I imagine she'll call me when she knows.

Just catching up on the messageboards has left me very tender and sad this morning. I am just out-and-out praying for Anthriel and TIGG, both with shadows where there shouldn't be any. Very much thinking also of yovargas as he heads home, of Eru who's wrestling with despair (no fight harder than that), of Ethel, too, whose pain touches a chord in me, of theMary starting over in a new place, and all the rest of everybody.

My love going out to all of you.

(I'd really wish people would refrain from calling people by their real names! I know it's meant as an endearment, but it's also confusing to those who don't know the real names, and it's not very nice to speak in some sort of code that only a few will understand - and, also, it means that when tides turn, as they have a sad tendency to do, it means a lot of editing work for the Shirriffs - just sayin'.)

(All right, truehobbit, I changed that. I just was following the trend without thinking. Actually, I'm one of the ones who doesn't know a lot of real names!)

Taking my worries out on a walk now -- thinking of everybody.

(I posted it because it did indeed seem to be becoming a trend, not to address just you, Teremia! But thanks for responding! :) )

And just because:

Anth is in surgery today. Every prayer should bend in her direction. :)

Praying and thinking and hoping, for a smooth surgery, a quick recovery, and all good news.

I've decided to open a thread in Bag End for updates on my husband's condition. Thanks again for your prayers and good wishes.
Take my hand, my friend. We are here to walk one another home.
