And the ultimate trust I get from Crowley is she got the two kids to wander about the yard foraging before sneaking off for a nap in the sun. She couldn't care less if I was walking around the yard and by her. She was this way for a good ten or so minutes.
Today I dug out my Nikon D5600 in hopes of getting some better quality shots of my friends. I just have tyo re-learn how to use it.

California is fabulous. The Bay Area is especially fabulous. I say this as someone born and raised here, then away from it for 30 years, now back for almost 20 years and still madly in love.
Unfortunately, the word has gotten out. The population of our fair state has gone from 14M to 39M in my lifetime, the Bay Area alone from 3.5M to 7.5M, and the housing market has not kept up. So now the choicest places are going to the highest bidder. I grew up in a five bedroom house my parents built for $20,000. I'm now renting a three bedroom house worth about $1M, that is not nearly as nice. I'll stay here as long as I can afford to, and as long as my brother is still living in the Bay Area.

Yeah, I was going to acknowledge some of the drawbacks to living in a gem of an area including cost of living and fires, but I decided to leave it at beautiful. Hopefully I'll make it back for a visit.

Not 1, not 2, but 3 different types of raptors on our walk at Wilder Ranch State Park today. A very large looking Turkey Vulture, a fairly distant Osprey, and what I thought was Cooper's Hawk, but I am told is a Northern Harrier, which I have not (to my knowledge) seen before
