Since it's yesterday's puzzle I won't need to put this in spoilers. Off the top of my head, I can think of three words that would fit with the clues I had so far: verve, verge, verse. There may be more if I spend more time thinking about it.

For my 6th guess, there were two possibilities, so I just guessed lucky.

It's been since Sunday at 2 p.m., so going on 3 days. The latest estimate is tomorrow night at 10 p.m., but their estimates are completely arbitrary. Could be today. Could be in two weeks (though I certainly hope it is not the latter!)

Oh goodness, I hope it's sooner rather than later. I hope they have long range plans for extreme weather and implement them when they are upgrading their infrastructure. Is it a problem for a wider area or just near your home which I'm guessing is a more rural area?
