Promise?

Elon Musk may ‘step back’ if shareholders reject $56bn pay package, Tesla chair warns

In other news, Tesla dramatically under reports crashes while in self driving mode. It uses the denominator of all crashes involving a police report but only counts Tesla autopilot crashes where an airbag was deployed, and even then not all of them.

Perhaps Elon Musk and Donald Trump grew closer due to their shared love of bleach?

Twitter is automatically adding community notes "debunking" any post that includes a picture of cars that were destroyed by the IDF following Hamas's attack on the Nova Music Festival on Oct. 7th. (The cars were apparently destroyed for fear that Hamas might have planted booby traps in them.) The claims that these community notes were originally created to debunk apparently deserved that treatment, being antisemitic garbage. But the programming is indiscriminate. At the link are examples of people posting, e.g., "Elon Musk is not a pedophile" with the Nova photo attached, to which Twitter immediately appends a note beginning, "This was already debunked...". To be clear: that's a glitch apparently deriving from Elon Musk having reduced Twitter's staffing so much they can't keep up, not a claim by Twitter that the company's owner is in fact a pedophile.
