Because I can:

Is this the real life
Is this just fantasy
Caught by the fireside
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look into the thread and see
I'm just a poster, I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy spam, easy post
A typo here, typo there
Anyway the fire burns, doesnt really matter to me,
To me
Sherriff, just flamed a noob,
Put ALL CAPS against his head,
hit the send key, now he's fled,
Sherriff, chat had just begun,
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Sherriff oooooooh,
Didn't mean to make you edit
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if Tolkien really matters
Too late, my board has come,
Sends shivers down my spine
Mind racing all the time,
Goodbye fellow posters- I've got to go
Gotta leave this hall behind and face the truth
Sherriff ooooooooh (any way the fire burns)
I don't want to edit,
I sometimes wish I'd never registered at all
I see a little silhouetto of a thain,
COME-HERE-FIRST, COME-HERE-FIRST, and then give the potholder
Economist and Lawyer - very very frightening me
Grab-a-Louie, grab-a-Louie
grab-a-Louie, grab-a-Louie
Grab-a-Louie-fiskaro-magnifico
But I'm a dumb poster and nobody replies to me
He's just a poster - without a net family
Spare him him his life from this monstrosity
Easy spam easy post, will you let me post
Jnyusa! no, we will not let you post-let him post
Jnyusa! we will not let you post-let him post
Jnyusa! we will not let you post-let me post
Will not let you post-let me post
Will not let you post let me post
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
mia, mia, mia let me post
Whistler has a green fairy put aside for me, for me, for me
So you think you can tell me that my post is wrong
So you think you can make it all up with a funny song
Voronwë - can't do this to me Voronwë
Just gotta get out-just gotta get right outta here
Tolkien really matters,
Anyone can see,
Tolkien really matters, Tolkien really matters to me,
Any way the fire burns ....

I for one have had it up to here with primness.
It's a beautiful day. Let's party.

“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

So I know what IAWP means, but how did it begin?
I won't just survive
Oh, you will see me thrive
Can't write my story
I'm beyond the archetype
I won't just conform
No matter how you shake my core
'Cause my roots, they run deep, oh
When, when the fire's at my feet again
And the vultures all start circling
They're whispering, "You're out of time,"
But still I rise
This is no mistake, no accident
When you think the final nail is in, think again
Don't be surprised, I will still rise
Oh, you will see me thrive
Can't write my story
I'm beyond the archetype

I cannot tell a lie; it was I who first came up with it, but I was just trying to save Anthy from having to type out "I agree with Prim" over and over.nerdanel wrote:So I know what IAWP means, but how did it begin?

IAWV
Although I think I did eventually imply that a suitable abbreviation would be good, since my darned fingers were falling off.

"What do you fear, lady?" Aragorn asked.

Thank you, Fara. I too had no idea, though I suspect careful study would have revealed the answer.
I missed its origin also. I seem to recall in my short tenure here that it has been used for other prior posters simply by changing the "P" to the appropriate initial.
Clearly, the "P" would be the most common icon of agreement.

This, of course, has nothing to do with the fact that I'm big and strong and carry a thirty-four-pound salmon everywhere I go.

Like it? It's called "Ebb Tide."

Only if you perform sacrificial rites in front of the P altar prior to the substitution.baby tuckoo wrote: I missed its origin also. I seem to recall in my short tenure here that it has been used for other prior posters simply by changing the "P" to the appropriate initial.

Ax, Where's Prim when you need her? In any case, IAWP calls for the following:axordil wrote:I've spend some time worshiping at the P altar after a few parties...oh, wait, that's not what you meant, is it...Only if you perform sacrificial rites in front of the P altar prior to the substitution.
