Movies we are looking forward to seeing
I split this off from the "Last Movie I Saw" thread - VtF
Here's a surprising bit of news that I just came across. I'll put in this thread, since at some point it is likely to be the last movie that I saw.

Re: The last movie you saw Thread
Interesting. Guess Jackson wants to go in a documentary-focused direction now? I can see why he would want to, since it removes any pressure of living up to LotR.
Re: The last movie you saw Thread
Do we need a "the next movie I might see" thread?

If the planned Beatles LOTR movie had gone ahead, you might have gotten your wish.
And you'll wish that you hadn't wished that wish...

I SO wanted to see this film made!
When the night has been too lonely, and the road has been too long,
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong,
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows,
Lies the seed, that with the sun's love, in the spring becomes The Rose.

Re: The last movie you saw Thread
So far as I know, the movie is still on. Here's an article from late November, more than a month later than that piece.

Do they have to be new releases? Because if it's an open field, I may need a couple of weeks to type my list in here.

All of mine belong in the Marvel thread.
Unless we are including TV, because I am looking forward to both American Gods S2 and Good Omens.

As soon as I figure out how, I promise I will remove the prohibition against you starting such threads in the Library, my dear Inanna.
Oh wait, there is no such prohibition!

I have threat-starting-phobia. I really do.
Ah, well, maybe I will take a page from Yov's book and start a "list of books I am reading in 2019" thread. Maybe.

That's a good phobia to have, actually.

I like your thread idea, but if you really don't want to start one, there's the Have You Read in the Library.

Shits (as my nephew would say). I even read your responses as responses to my threaD-starting-phobia. AND they made perfect sense to me.

Is it just me or is the Dune movie shaping up to be really exciting? It's got a great director and a fantastic cast so far.
Also looking forward to 'The Irishman'. De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Harvey Keitel in one single film that happens to be directed by Scorsese!?

Re: Movies we are looking forward to seeing
I'm keeping an open mind about the Dune film, but I doubt that I will find it satisfying.
ETA: Although it is bound to be an improvement over the David Lynch travesty.
