Games, Riddles, Puzzles, and other Distractions
Re: Games, Riddles, Puzzles, and other Distractions
Heh. I'll spoiler the joke as it may be construed as a hint, although it doesn't contain The Word.

The dumbest thing I've ever bought
was a 2020 planner.
"Does anyone ever think about Denethor, the guy driven to madness by staying up late into the night alone in the dark staring at a flickering device he believed revealed unvarnished truth about the outside word, but which in fact showed mostly manipulated media created by a hostile power committed to portraying nothing but bad news framed in the worst possible way in order to sap hope, courage, and the will to go on? Seems like he's someone we should think about." - Dave_LF

I tried a new strategy today. I'm not sure I liked it but it did the job.

A tough one!
What was your new strategy, Rose, and how do you guys get that image with the colored squares? If I click on share, copy text, then paste that into an email, then email it to myself, then copy that off my email in my computer, and paste it here, it works. But there has to be an easier way. Wordle is on my phone only; HOF is on my computer only.

Re: Games, Riddles, Puzzles, and other Distractions
I read an article with 2 common strategies. One was the way I was doing it (using words with all of the vowels & common consonants and then using any green and yellow tiles in subsequent tries). The second option was to use words with ALL completely different letters for the first 3 or 4 words making the best use of the process of elimination, almost guaranteeing a line of all black.
I clicked on the share and then pasted in my post. It took longer to post after hitting submit.

To be fair to the window it's playing 6 letter words. I wonder if that would be easier or harder?
