Ah an adoring worshiper. Back to thread topic. I believe that MLK does have revelance today, more so than even before. Racsim has not stopped and I think that the (ok not so PC here) attitude that is prevelant in todays black inner city culture would have broken Dr. Kings heart. As an outsider...

 I should have expanded my explanation. Thanks TP for your explanation.

BTW....the irony in my life is my RL is Virginia. My step father is Robert E. Lee. I kid you not. And we are Yankees....our families were in Penn and NY during the Civil War.

Running around with my head cut off, please do not stop this on account of me. Believe me once I get this budget worked out with the State I will be back here doing this. So here are a few thoughts. Sorry it took so long. “``I HOPE my dear,'' said Mr. Bennet to his wife as they were at breakfast the...

Hum I view the detachment in Buddhism a bit differently. I view it as all though bad things happen we must realize that the suffering is temporary and that even though its bad there is some leason to learn, some small piece of knowledge there, even if its the knowledge that what is happening is horr...

Willie Nelson, not so much for his singing, but his song writing abilities. I know most people can't stand the way he sings, and that he is country, but I like his voice and love most of the songs he has written. I leave it up to the rest of you to find out exactly how many songs he has written. ;) ...

A friend of mine and I are thinking of joining the local, very small, group of African drummers. Its small about three people, and only one of them knows how to play well, and she is from Scotland and has a really really thick accent so most of the time I am huh? She has been bugging us to take it u...

So the question is what if someone was god in human form and didn't know it? How would that make them any different from the rest of us then? If you are a god and don't know it, it wouldn't make you a very smart god would it. This reminds me of when Luke made C-3PO fly around in RoTJ. 3PO didn't kno...

My opinion of sin. I think only God himself can judge each one of us and our sins, no one else can. I think that to ask for fogiveness from those we sin against is a must, not only for those we hurt but for ourselves and to prove to God we are truely repentant. And we must stick by the repentance, n...

Jn, I agree totally. I was utterly appauled by the 16 minute air tanks. They give the miners air tanks with 16 minutes of air in them, 16 minutes. Having grown up in the oil field the employers are not much better in it either. We as a City have to regulate them within City limits becuase they won't...

Jane Austen's people are not aristocrats, but "gentry". Yet I often feel like they are trying so hard to impress the real aristocrats that they forget they are 'gentry'. I can't count how many people I know in real life like that. Oh and I find it adorable how dotting ( spelling...

I beleive we are all part of God, that we each have some piece of God in us. I also believe that the good we do to others, as well as the bad, we do to God. So to ask me if God is in human form, I would say yes, in all of us, in everything.

Thats my Zen rant for the day.

Mel Gibson is another one who has said he will never make a fool of himself by pairing off with a much younger woman on screen
If I remember correctly, wasn't his love interest in Braveheart quite a bit younger?
