Welcome, elivak, to the Hall of Fire!
“There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Welcome, sador, to the Hall of Fire! I understand from Voronwë that you had some trouble getting properly added to the membership, and I apologize. All should be correct now. I look forward to reading your posts!

"Enjoyed"? It's a major-league sport here.

Well, thank you!
I still find it hard to believe that I am posting after all. I have a suspicion what was wrong this morning (local time); I'll try again tomorrow from the same computer and see if it works.
I've already looked a bit around; and even if I manage to strictly keep myself to the Tolkien-discussion boards, there is still more to read (and respond to) than I can afford the time. Ah, well...
But thanks for the welcome. This is a very neat idea, and I hope it will prove a better indication to my presence here, than the travails of logging in portended!

sador, please feel free to read and respond to any of the threads in the Tolkien discussion boards (or elsewhere). Don't be hesitant to bump all threads to the top of the forum. I would love to hear your thoughts about some of the things that we have discussed in the passed.
And, once again, welcome!
And, once again, welcome!
